Maria is the founder of Spark Asia Leadership Practice, a leadership development & consultancy company focusing on advancing leadership in Asia. Maria is a professional in the field of leadership development & organisational development. Having lived and worked extensively in China/Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, Maria assists multinationals with leadership development across borders. Her passion is to advance leadership in Asia. Prior to establishing her own Leadership Practice, Maria was Custom Solutions Director/Faculty at the Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL)’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. She has designed and delivered programmes for Fortune 500 companies that develop teams and leaders across cultures as well as helping them to manage innovation & change. Maria joined CCL from a French tyre manufacturer, where she was the first director of training & development for the Asia-Pacific Operations. She was actively involved in the selection and development of high-potential managers across the region, notably in China and Thailand. Her focuses include leadership development, talent management and such OD initiatives as post-merger & acquisition integration.
She has consulting experience with KMPG Peat Marwick and lecturing experience in various universities as well as having industrial relations experience in a role with the Hong Kong and Singapore Governments. This experience serves to facilitate her connections with people, industries and businesses. Maria is also an executive coach for business leader. She coaches and facilitates in various languages and dialects and speaks English, Chinese, French, Japanese, Cantonese and Shanghainese.
