Coaching and Mentoring

VBL’s Coaching Centre of Excellence works with organisations to provide outstanding coaching solutions. Often a personalised individual approach is what is required; we provide a variety of solutions to meet the range of needs you may have.

Our dedicated team of coaches are all qualified to post graduate level in coaching and mentoring, have memberships with either the European Mentoring and Coaching Council or the International Coaching Federation, get regular support from qualified coach supervisors, undertake continuous professional development, have extensive business and coaching experience and undertake regular 180 degree feedback on their coaching.

Coaching and Mentoring solutions include:

  • Executive Mentoring - provides external mentoring expertise from a voice outside your business to support your directors with their strategic development.
  • Executive Coaching/ Executive Sponsored Coaching - is aimed at key individuals with executive responsibilities. Executive coaching provides a personalised development plan specific to each manager and offers them the opportunity to develop the skills and behaviours required in their given environment. It can take place directly with the manager being coached and can also include a ‘sponsor’ or a line manager who can assist with setting the objectives for the coaching sessions to guarantee synergy with organisational objectives.
  • Coaching Culture – developing a coaching culture within your organisation is the first step to developing independent thinkers who make informed decisions in a timely fashion. Changing your culture to one of ‘ask’ not ‘tell’ is a sustainable and well proven way to having a successful organisation that is constantly learning.
  • Coaching Supervision – should your organisation already have in-house coaches, we can provide the supervision support for their coaching work. Supervision is a working alliance between two professionals where a coach can offer an account of their work, reflect on it, and then receive feedback and guidance from their supervisor. The objective of the alliance is to enable the coach to gain confidence, ethical competency and creativity so as to give the best possible service to your organisation.
  • Team Coaching – can provide the opportunity for all members of a team to receive coaching simultaneously. For a team that has been together for a period of time, team coaching can be the impetus they need to take them to the next level and maximise the potential of all team members.
  • Maternity/Sabbatical Coaching – we provide coaching support for individuals’ pre, post and during extended leave from work. This normally holds additional support from their line manager resulting in the smooth transition back into the workplace in a positive and productive way.
  • Remote Coaching – often managers are remote to the core of the business with their line managers having limited opportunity to connect with them other than by telephone and email. Remote coaching offers the support to develop a manager’s skills and behaviours in sync with organisational objectives and without extensive input from a remote line manager.
